Irene O’Brien is a Conservation Ranger with National Parks and Wildlife Service in North Mayo. While she is passionate about all wildlife, her special interest are Birds of Prey, which she has been studying for several years. Irene is currently the secretary of the Irish Raptor Study Group and was involved in coordinating the National Peregrine Survey 2018 and the Merlin Survey 2019. Irene loves to spend her free time in the mountains and is currently the Training officer for the Mayo Mountain Rescue Team.
The title of her talk is ‘An Insight into Ireland’s native falcons, The Peregrine, The Kestrel and The Merlin.
